Chevron Flooring
A sharper, directional cousin of herringbone.
Where herringbone interlocks at right angles, chevron mitres each board so the ends meet in a continuous point — a cleaner, more directional line down the room.
The difference is in the cut. Chevron boards are mitred on the ends so that two boards form a perfect V, and the points align into unbroken zigzag lines. It reads as more formal and more directional than herringbone, and it rewards precise, repeatable angles across the whole floor.
Because every board is cut to the same angle, set-out and consistency are everything. A chevron floor guides the eye along its length, which makes it a strong choice for hallways and rooms with a clear axis.
